A passport is a travel document usually used for the purpose of International travels, it is also consider as a proof of ID, proof of Address, in certain cases Nationality proof. Passport is usually issued by country's government. 

Documents required for applying fresh Passport:

Documents requirements for fresh passport are:

• Applicant's passport size photograph on verification certificate

• Attested by the officer issuing the verification certificate with applicant’s signature

• Rubber stamp in a letter heads in such a way that half the signature and stamp appear on the photograph and half of the certificate.

For proof of stay applicant should produce any ONE of the following documents:

• Ration Card (or)

• Bank Pass Book with minimum operation of one year (or)

• Telephone bill for the last two years (or)

• Gas connection book with full entry for two years (or)

• Identity card issued by the chief election commissioner

For proof of date of birth, applicant should produce any ONE of the following documents:

• Transfer certificate from educational institution (or)

• Birth certificate issued by municipality or corporation (or)

• Bonafide certificate from the school (or)

• Tenth standard mark statement (or)

• Twelfth standard mark statement

• Please also bring along the following:

• 2 Passport photos

• Applicants address proof

• ID proof (for date of birth)
